Behavorial Crossroads to Offer More Hours

(PRWEB) November 30, 2011

The best way to go on a road to recovery is to do it with a firm resolve and with a strong support group. Getting back on one’s feet from substance abuse is not only an arduous task; it’s also something that can’t be done alone. Behavorial Crossroads offers substance abuse services aiming to not only help individuals recover from addiction, but also to assist them as they start over in their communities. With its excellent staff and personalized treatment programs, Behavioral Crossroads has a flexible environment that’s very suitable and comfortable for patients and their loved ones alike to help them adjust and achieve full recovery.

Behavorial Crossroads provides substance abuse treatment services to adults who are ready to make a change in their lives. Each individual would be properly assessed to determine just what kind of assistance should be given to address individual needs. The recovery clinic aims to “provide hope, tangible support and pertinent information and link all therapeutic efforts to supporting each client’s recovery process and individual passions.”

Licensed by the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services for Mental Health and Substance Abuse and located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ (right next to Atlantic City), Behaviorial Crossroads is currently open from Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 3 PM.

“We’re thinking of adding more clinic hours, probably in January 2012, from 6 PM to 9 PM,” Michael T. DiMarco, Director of Admissions at Behavorial Crossroads said. “With the huge positive response and success of our treatment programs, we’d like to provide even more time to helping and supporting patients.”

Behavorial Crossroads currently offers three different levels of outpatient substance abuse treatment, all designed to fit a regular, everyday lifestyle. Patients get treated without the need for hospitalization or residential care. This makes it easier for patients to ease back into regular lives and attend to their personal responsibilities. They can go to work, attend school, or spend time with their friends and family, all while getting the help they need.

Services are designed to provide information and support, to intervene on self-defeating behaviors in a professional manner and to assist each client in maintaining abstinence from the use of alcohol and other drugs of abuse.

Outpatient Services – designed for those who can benefit from professional treatment for less than nine hours per week to address substance abuse problems. Outpatients receive 1 to 3 hours of treatment weekly.
Intensive Outpatient Services – designed for those who, upon assessment, would require professional treatment more than once a week to address issues. A total of 9 hours of treatment services will be provided weekly.
Partial Care – designed for those who need a daily structured treatment program to address substance abuse, but is not at a point of requiring in-patient hospitalization or residential treatment. A total of 20 hours of treatment services will be provided weekly.

Door to door transportation will be provided on a limited basis to program participants.

Behaviorial Crossroads provides treatment tailored to address every patient’s needs, which could include, among others:

Group therapy
Topic-oriented discussion and process groups
Psycho-education
An introduction to self-help
Individual counseling
Family education and counseling
Case management
